October Roundup

October has seen an unbelievably large amount of music land in the Dojo inbox, so we picked out our favourite of the pack of recent and shortly forthcoming releases. Read on for new beats from Seba, Stoner & Dotter Poison, Moresounds and more!

Dub Phizix mixes Fabriclive 84

Manchester party starter and general joker Dub Phizix has been lined up for the latest instalment of the Fabriclive mix series and he’s put together quite a selection, with an unprecedented number of dubplates forming about half the tracklist! We’ve heard the mix and can assert that it is absolute fire; watch out for this dropping from Nov 20th, with pre-orders already live at the Fabric Store.

Moresounds – Etho / Gwan Fire [31 Recordings]

French dub junglist Moresounds is back with more of his signature footwork tinged beats, this time for Doc Scott’s 31 Recordings imprint. Fans of previous releases should definitely find plenty to like here! Hit up the 31 Store for pre-orders ahead of the Oct 19th release.

Omega Red EP [Dust Audio]

Dust Audio’s latest release collects tracks from Ink, Gremlinz & Ahmad, Slider & Expose and Clima & Red Army. All three tracks share a love of old school break-driven jungle with heavyweight title track Omega Red and the deep and gully Jungle Justice proving our favourites. This one’s out now on vinyl and digital at all good stores.

Seba – Nicoho / Sienna [Warm Communications]

Liquid don Seba dishes up more of his silky smooth rollers for esteemed US imprint Warm Communications. Nicoho brings together a super crisp amen with those trademark Seba synth melodies for an uplifting epic while Sienna cools down the drums a little to let the truly lush melodies shine through. Blissfully beautiful as ever from one of the best names in the melodic D&B scene, and you can grab it now at all good stores.

Stoner & Dottor Poison – Dexcell EP [Delta9]

The latest release on Delta9 Recordings showcases some fantastically angular, stompy techstep from Italian producers Stoner & Dottor Poison. Both tracks have a creative wonkyness and robotic intensity which is difficult to argue with and certainly got our heads nodding here at Dojo HQ! Watch out for these at all the usual digital stores from Oct 31st.

SB81 – Sculptures EP [Metalheadz]

Last but by no means least, SB81 (aka Nolige) brings us his latest EP to the mighty Metalheadz. The Scriptures EP explores the halftime template but with a heavy hitting attitude and plenty of that classic flavour that makes Goldie’s label so special. Atmospherics and impact in equal measure!

You can pick this up now at the ‘headz store and as an added bonus SB81 has also delivered a top notch mix for the latest episode of the WhatCast.
