Top 5: Seba

Liquid maestro Seba is among our favourite producers here at DNB Dojo, with an eclectic style and a knack for crafting emotional beats that can still move a dancefloor. With another top new single out on his Secret Operations imprint, we tracked him down and asked for his Top 5 influences.

Nervous Records

I was so in to this deep house and garage sound at the same time as I discovered UK hardcore/breakbeat.

Brian Eno

Maybe not an inspiration to write music, but it is a good way to get in the right mood when I experience a writer’s block.

Om Unit

Again, it doesn’t inspire me to write because it is quite similar to what I do. But it’s so damn good to listen to!

Skee Mask

This guy is just unbelievable! I want to change musical direction every single time I hear a new track from him.

Spirit

Spirit is always an inspiration to get in to the studio. There’s so much energy in his music without the need of “special snare clipping processing”.

Seba & Jr Vallo – Minus 15 / Bon Voyage is out now on Secret Operations.
