Xenon returns to DSCI4 with his first solo EP following on from a collaboration on PRTCL’s last EP for the label last year. Suppressed Feelings represents the fusion of Berlin techno and classic techstep that defines Xenon’s sound; hypnotic, dark and groove-focused, this is the sound of dark rooms at 5am. Classic Track: Judda – Pressure Plate
A tune that still finds its way into my rotation, Judda’s Pressure Plate is an undeniable slice of quality that pulls me in every time. Gritty bass and clean percussion effortlessly coalesce to form this 2010 gem released on Modulations, Critical Music’s innovative, yet sadly short-lived, sub-label. Pressure Plate is just as fresh sounding as the day it came out – a tightly grooving stomper for those of a dirty yet refined taste.
As I was putting this write-up together, I happened to find that Judda has just released a freebie tune – a Drum & Bass rework of one of his early house tracks. I know I’ll be keeping an eye out for more developments on what might be Judda’s return to Drum & Bass…

Premiere: Easy & Geeks – Shoreless
Easy & Geeks land on Mitekiss’s Goldfat Records imprint for their latest outing, and we’ve got the exclusive on Shoreless! Treading a tightrope between dark dancefloor roller and liquid beauty, this one certainly packs enough punch for the club but retains that soul we’ve come to expect from Goldfat. Watch out for this one coming Apr 24th…
Premiere: Kloro4m – Steppah
Halftime swagger from Kloro4m on today’s premiere; imposing bass weight, darkly funky piano licks and some tasty jungle-tinged drum fills makes for a deadly tune! Look out for this coming April 29th at all the usual digital outlets.
Premiere: Science of Man – Second Look
We’ve been really overwhelmed here at DNB Dojo by the outpouring of support across the DNB Scene at this time of crisis; it’s absolutely heartwarming to see the scene coming together to try and do some good and help those who really need it. Today’s premiere comes from Science of Man, who contributes a beautiful deep liquid roller to Rebel Music’s Rebel One LP. All proceeds from the LP will go to the NHS Charities Together fund to help in the fight against Coronavirus, so hit up their Bandcamp and give what you can; the album is out today.
Premiere: Chris.SU – Bandpassed
Beats In Mind land in our premiere spotlight today with a track taken from their Headsbass Volume 1 LP. Chris.SU comes correct with a massive dancefloor roller that brings to mind vintage Black Sun Empire Recordings releases from the early 2000s. All proceeds from the LP will go towards mental health charities…great beats for a great cause. Watch out for this one coming April 24th at digital stores!
