Monika lands on None60 with more of deep, rolling, hypnotic style…one of our favourite producers continuing to deliver the goods! Hit up their Bandcamp to grab this from tomorrow.

Premiere: Jaise – Swamped
Following an exceptional debut release earlier this year, Jaise is back on Subplate Recordings with another dark roller channelling the late 90s techstep sound. The influence of acts like Ed Rush & Optical on the sound is undeniable, but don’t dismiss this as mere copycatting; this is a love letter to a forgotten sound, brought bang up to date for 2019. Look out for the release coming Aug 30th at all the usual outlets.
Premiere: Deeper South – Life 2 U
Weather in the UK is pretty miserable right now so why not forget the rain and get swept up in today’s premiere; pure sunshine roller vibes from Deeper South! Look for this coming Aug 16th on RSTLSSNSS.
Premiere: Onism Qi – ’96 Dreamer
Quentin Hiatus, Thomas B and Ghast return with their occasional collab alias Onism Qi this month and they’ve got a host of treats coming via Translation Recordings. ’96 Dreamer is their ode to the classic sounds of early rave music, building suspense with ethereal synth work on the intro before dropping into an electrifying assault of chopped amens and rave stabs. Massive tune! Look for this one coming Aug 16th at all good digital stores…
DNB Dojo Mix Series 91: Option
Our latest mix guest is an artist we’ve admired for some time now; hailing from Hawaii and a regular contributor of releases to Detached Audio, we’re excited to welcome Option to the Dojo decks! As you’d expect from the man’s productions, the focus here is on soulful liquid rollers and emotional drum and bass, and we think you’ll agree it delivers in spades. Check it out, and keep your ears peeled for some unreleased music from the man himself.
As always you can check out the mix via Soundcloud below or head to Youtube or iTunes to stream. You can also grab a download from Google Drive.
Premiere: Distrikt – Third Kind
Distrikt steps into our premiere spotlight today with a heavyweight slab of tech darkness. Coming soon to Dispatch LTD alongside a collab with Akkrid, this one has some serious punch, with booming sub and stabbing kick drums punctuating the sparse, ominous soundscape. Look out for the release coming Aug 12th at all the usual stores…
Premiere: Flare – Arguments (Indidjinous Remix)
We’ve got the exclusive on a halftime stomper today as AGN7 Audio return with another sick release! Indidjinous turns up the heat for this one, with a heavyweight take on Flare’s Arguments; pounding percussive and serious bassweight, bringing to mind the likes of Amit. Look for this coming Aug 16th exclusively at Beatport, with other stores following two weeks later.
DNB Dojo Mix Series 90: Accelerated
Our latest guest mix comes from up and coming producer Accelerated! Hailing from Buenos Aires in Argentina, the 23 year old has already scored releases on Warm Ears Music and Soul Deep, and found support on Drum & Bass Arena; expect big things from him over the coming months! For his Dojo mix he’s assembled a deep, rolling selection, taking in moody tech and rich liquid from the likes of Monty, Whychek, Alix Perez and Kove, plus of course some unreleased business from his own archive. Top selections!
As always you can check out the mix via Soundcloud below or head to Youtube or iTunes to stream. You can also grab a download from Google Drive.
Premiere: Wreckless – Disco Dub
Wreckless lands on Addictive Behaviour with a wicked new EP this month so naturally we had to grab an exclusive…the man himself has a few words for us on the track which provide some insight into its creation to boot. Check that out below and watch out for the release dropping Aug 5th at Beatport.
‘Disco Dub’ is a homage to old pirate radio and the synths in house music. A friend of mine from uni used to make the most awesome house music in the room above mine, it was honestly incredible. This track is just trying to get those house music sounds from a decade previous into a D&B arrangement. The whole tune sounds really old, the breaks all rattle, and the resonances are harsh, most of the synths are recorded as live jams and this gives it the loose, older style feeling for me. Long live MIDI.
Premiere: Spinnet – Normal Curve
Another deep flex from Ortem on today’s exclusive as they gear up to drop a new EP from Spinnet. Normal Curve blends a variety of influences from the worlds of electro and IDM for a gloriously expansive journey through soaring leads and squelching synth bass, set to a backbone of ever-so-slightly glitchy D&B percussion. Wicked tune! Watch out for the release coming 2nd August exclusively on Bandcamp; other stores follow on the 16th.
