Mole – Fight EP [T3K Extended]

T3K’s “Extended” imprint return with a tidy little EP from Mole. Turn Up The Bass and Fight both deliver chunky neurofunk goodness worthy of the dancefloor, but for me this one is all about We Havin Fun‘s swung half-step beats; neuro bass at a less frantic pace. Check out the clips below and grab this one from your favourite digital store now.

Jungle Ballad EP [Fokuz Recordings]

The latest EP from Fokuz features another fine selection of melodic liquid rollers, with tracks from BCee, RoyGreen & Protone and Rowpieces all gracing the release. The Spearhead boss gets the A side, with his customarily rich sound in full effect on the smooth, laid back Breath In.

Over on the flip RoyGreen & Protone bring us a jazzy ode to precipitation, while Rowpieces showcases his finest break chopping skills on Jungle Ballad; no prizes for guessing the influence he might be drawing on for this one. Last but not least, digital buyers are treated to a nice bonus in the form of Renaisance, with RoyGreen and Protone going slightly off piste with a selection of unusual FX and atmospheres set to another crisp, rolling beat.

All in all another fine Fokuz release! Check out the clips below and grab this on vinyl or digital from your favourite store now!

Psidream & Pacific – The Edge [Nightfall Recordings]

Canadian scene stalwarts Psidream & Pacific bring us the latest selection of neurofunk tearers via their own Nightfall imprint, and as you’d expect the beats are big and bad! All six tracks are well worthy of your attention but for me the highlights came on Not The Future and Chain Breaker. Check out the clips and make up your own mind – this one’s available at all good digital stores now!

Tokyo Prose – Continued Presence [Samurai Music]

It’s not often we love an album so much that we blog it twice, but Tokyo Prose’s debut for Samurai Music is not just any album. Presence has been on rotation here at Dojo HQ pretty steadily since it’s release earlier this year, and being fans of vinyl we were excited to see more of the label’s tracks getting a wax release. Continued Presence sees four more of Sam’s favourites from the album being committed to a beautiful blue and white disc, and you get a free digital bonus in the form of My Soul. Check that out below and head to the Samurai Store to pre-order the 12″ now.

EP.4 [Blind Music]

Blind Music continue their anonymouse musical experiment with their fourth release, this time taking things in a techier direction. BLND#11 serves up a satisfying grimey dark roller, while BLND#12 experiments with a more wonky, acid-infused sound. BLND#13 rounds things off with another rolling tech damager, sure to work a few dancefloors! Check out the sounds below and grab this from Bandcamp now.

Phase – Do Not Look Back EP [Fokuz Recordings]

Fokuz return with another great release, this time from Belgian producer Phase. A-side Our Love serves up a pleasant (if predictable) slice of rolling liquid funk featuring the vocal talents of La Meduza, but Don’t Look Back on the flip is the real star of the show.

Jazzy elements, twinkling FX, dynamic strings and perfectly placed piano all combine into beautiful composition, and the contrast between the relatively rugged beats and bass and the soft, melodic elements really makes the track stand out. Check out the clips below and grab this from all good digital stores from November 24th.

Spirit – Reality / Babylon Call [Warm Communications]

Warm Comms bring us a great new 12″ from Spirit, who some of you should recognise as Digital’s regular partner in crime on their Phantom Audio imprint and beyond. A side Reality brings the old school techstep vibes with crisp drums and a big bad old school bassline that is sure to shake a few sound systems nicely.

Babylon Call on the flip dials down the aggression but keeps things on a retro tip, with some nice old school hoover action and a deep, dubby vibe. Check out the clips below and grab this on vinyl or digital from November 24th.

BMTFSOLFLW4 [Blu Mar Ten Music]

Blu Mar Ten close out their Famous Lost Words remix project with a remix from the legendary Future Sound of London. The release is coming out on a single sided 10″ vinyl (with free digital copies) and the only place you can buy it is from the Blu Mar Ten store. With pressing limited to 300 and only 94 left at time of writing, you better be quick if you want this one! Check out the teaser clip (or this longer one on Facebook) and look out for this shipping sometime in December.

Update: FSOL’s rather beautiful remix of Night Shift is out now at all good stores. The 10″ vinyl is entirely sold out so bad luck if you slept on that one, but the digital is still available via the Blu Mar Ten store (and should be available elsewhere too). Check out the Soundcloud clip below and get buying!

Maztek – Three Point Zero LP [Renegade Hardware]

Maztek brings his inimitable neurofunk stylings to Renegade Hardware once again and this time we’re being treated to a full length LP featuring some tasty dancefloor workouts. Fans of Maztek’s style won’t be disappointed, with plenty of gnarly dancefloor workouts like Sprocket,  BTK collab Wraith and the appropriately titled Stompin’ nestled in amongst the tracklist.

For me the highlights came on the impeccable sound design of Tokiwa, the mangled, slouching half-time rhythms of Disprove collab Bad Body and the relentless, rolling beats of Three Point Zero, but the whole LP is well worth your attention; crisp beats and sonic detail are the order of the day here without a doubt. The sampler drops tomorrow so check out the clips of that below, and keep your ear to the ground for clips of the full album before its release on December 15th.

Hydro & War – Censorship [Blendits]

Blendits return with their biggest release yet, snagging a pair of techy rollers for the label’s increasingly impressive discography. Hydro & War provide the A side, combining crisp beats and techy bass with a layer of spooky melodies and atmospherics, apparently passing some comment on the production of pop music in the process.

Eastcolors comes in for remix duties on the flip, bringing a new slant to Mindmapper & Silvahfonk’s Polygraph. The soft pads and chords of the original are embelished, richer and fuller, and the previously steady mix is swapped out for a frenetic array of chopped breaks. The mixture of musically beautiful elements and rough and tough drumfunk beats is a potent combo! Check out the clips below and look for this one on vinyl and digital from November 24th.
