Fearful – Premonition Remix Contest

Fearful has been a busy man of late! Between releases for Diffrent, AutomAte and a fantastic mix for DNB Dojo, Chris has also found time to craft a fresh bit of techno in the form of self released track Premonition. The producers in the Dojo readership should be interested to hear that he’s running a remix contest around the track, with first place netting a white 12″ DIFF025 vinyl and runners up treated to early copies of Fearful releases on digital.

You can check out the original track below in all it’s brooding glory; head over to Soundcloud to grab the stems and get your remix in to the Soundcloud group by September 21st 2015 to be in with a chance of winning.

News of a fresh collab from Detail & Tiiu landing on Addictive Behaviour was a pleasant surprise here at the Dojo, being big fans as we are of both the label and the artists involved. The pair’s last collaboration for Symmetry back in 2013 made us wish for more, and Delusion delivers the same deep, mournful vibe in spades. Over on the flip, Detail goes in on a dark, ominous slice of stripped back tech funk for Breakout.

Being generous folk, the Addictive Behaviour crew have given us a 12″ of the single to give away to one lucky winner! To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is like the DNB Dojo Facebook page, like the Addictive Behaviour Facebook page, and send an email to competitions@dnbdojo.co.uk with your name & address and the subject line “Detail & Tiiu Competition”. The kind folks at Beat Machine Records have given us a 12″ of their brand new release from Italian producer Lynch Kingsley, so we felt it only appropriate to run a wee competition! The vinyl features two fresh footwork/jungle inspired beats from Lynch and a cracking remix from the mighty Om Unit, all of which you can check out below.

As he gears up for an album release in September, Forbidden Society is giving budding producers the chance to be a part of the release with a remix competition! The best remix will be featured on the album and the winner will also receive a free copy of the album and a free t-shirt. Can’t say fairer than that really. Sadly Hidden will soon be closing its doors for the last time but before then original badman Loxy will be giving the venue a send off alongside sets from a host of other names including B2B sets from Double O& Theory and Threshold & Jamma.

Win a Set on the Valve Sound System!

The legendary Valve Sound System rolls into Leeds on March 1st where Dillinja, Breakage and N-Type will be taking to the decks to apply some serious bass pressure. If you’ve ever fancied rocking the decks on this impressive rig, now’s your chance, as Valve are running a competition to win a set at the night.

All you have to do is record a 30 minute mix, upload it to the Soundcloud Dropbox for the competition and then email the download link to djcomp@vlvmusic.com. Manchester label NB Audio are gearing up for their third release with two brand new MC-led VIPs from Snap Shot. Dooms VIP combines a dubby half-time skank with the unmistakable vocal talents of Chimpo, while Dark Shadow VIP sees Tonn Piper taking up the mic on a rolling slice of dark jungle, all brooding bass and hard snares. Check out the video below for a taste of the beats and watch out for the release on Juno from Monday and elsewhere the week after.
