The legendary John Rolodex steps up to the decks for the latest episode of the DNB Dojo Mix Series! Boss of the impressive Machinist Music imprint and a talented producer to boot, John’s productions have seen release on Dread Recordings, Tech Itch Recordings, Metalheadz, Hospital and more.

John has come correct with an hour of rolling techstep punctuated by a few more experimental switchups, and the vibes are strong all the way through. Look out for tons of dubs from the man himself alongside beats from Owneath, Kolectiv, Goldie and HLZ. Serious business from a serious selector; check it!

Ever since we first heard his riddims via his rather excellent entry in the Demand Selects EP series we’ve been keeping an ear out for more material from Owneath, so we’re really pleased to be kicking off 2017 by welcoming him to the Dojo Mix Series! Vladimir’s mix takes in experimental cuts from Stray, Abstract Elements and Eastcolors alongside tons of his own beats and a few unnamed dubplates. Our latest exclusive mix comes from an artist we’ve been keeping an eye on for a while, so we’re hyped to welcome Samurai Breaks to the Dojo Mix Series! Hailing from Leeds but now based in Prague, the last month has seen Sam launch his Tsunami Bass Weight imprint with a big VA compilation and release a sick new single via Halogen Music. With releases coming soon on Ground Mass and support on Noisia Radio, we’re tipping Samurai Breaks for a big 2017.

Sam’s mix for DNB Dojo takes in the full range of 170BPM music with deep, halftime head nodders sitting alongside techstep rollers from the likes of Icicle and Mikal. There’s plenty of space in the bumper 106 minute selection for music from Terabyte, Subtitles Music, Critical, Free Love Digi and plenty more alongside a host of tasty dubs from the man himself and his cohorts at Tsunami Bass Weight. It’s been a couple of years since we caught up with BRKCHK but the man has been plenty busy in the intervening years playing shows around the Houston area and running Multilux Recordings with partner in crime Amathyst. Belgian trio Bredren join the ranks of the Dojo Mix series for our 38th instalment! With releases on Dispatch, Flexout, Demand, Blendits, Proximity and more, the Bredren team have been carving quite a reputation for themselves in the five years since their debut release. Their latest EP for Flexout is some of their best work yet, so we jumped at the chance for a mix and the results don’t disappoint!

Blending brand new cuts from the likes of dBridge, Skeptical and Acid Lab with a handful of classics and a couple of dubs, Bredren have served up a top notch tech rollout with equal parts grit and soul in the mix. Firing selections indeed!
