Prolix – Transcendent EP [Trendkill Records]
Fans of Prolix will know what to expect from his latest output – the Transcendent EP sees him teaming up with some of the biggest names in the neurofunk scene for an all out assault on your senses, and the results are pure dancefloor destruction. Highlights include the supreme midrange aggression of the titular Transcendent (with Neosignal’s Misanthrop), the hard snares and off kilter riddims of Vital Condition (with MC Coppa on vocals) and the big gnarly stomper that is Next Level (featuring Offkey alumni Meth).

Mob Tactics – The Wasted EP [C4C]
Mob Tactics follow up recent releases for Tactical and RAM with an EP of dancefloor killers for C4C Recordings. Wasted gets things going with a nice retro tech lead, blending the energy of jump up with the production and grit of the tech and neuro scene. Unbalanced follows it up with a pulsing sub line and some tasty reese growls.
Lifer aims for the chest with some pretty aggressive midrange modulations, while Grinder rounds things off with a solid slice of rhythmic neurofunk business. Despite the emphasis on dancefloor vibes there’s still more than enough detail and finesse to give these tunes lasting appeal. Check out the clips below and watch out for the release dropping Monday 31st via all good digital outlets.
Mob Tactics – Dredd / Outun [Tactical]
Mob Tactics continue their excellent run of self-released singles via their Tactical imprint with a pair of bouncing dancefloor stompers. Dredd borrows a cheeky sample from the recent Karl Urban film outing before a heavy duty drop with some warped bassline action on the go, but for me it’s all about Outrun on the flip, stripping the bass back ever so slightly and keeping it techy and rolling, with tons of deft touches. Attention to detail!
