Release & Meecha – Pitfall [Tytanium Armour]
Tytanium Armour return with their first release after a three year hiatus featuring two hard edged slices of tech D&B with plenty of gnarly energy. Release & Meecha provide the A side with Pitfall, a track that harks back to the hardstep sound of around 10 years ago and brings to mind early Audio tracks.
Over on the flip label boss Tycaine gets together with Abandon for a more stripped back tech funk workout with a low slung moving bassline and plenty of punch in the kicks and snares. Fans of the dark and rolling should enjoy this one! The release is out now at all good digital stores so check out the clips below and go grab yourself a copy!
Rotation Part One [Addictive Behaviour]
Addictive Behaviour storm back to the scene after a selection of successful single releases with eight new tracks for part one of their Rotation LP. Kiev bass badman and Dojo favourite Fade leads the charge with the crisp, heavy hitting vibes of Danger, swiftly followed by the stomping tech funk of Artifact’s Discordant. Both these tracks deserve a special mention for the attention to detail and vibe present…serious stuff!
Elsewhere on the EP there are moody rollers from Screwball and Noel, a deep stepper from Nitri, Level 2 & Hannah Eve and more monstrous neurofunk bangers from nScape, TR Tactics and Nitri & Release. Tidy selections from a label that has impressed us fairly constantly since their inception; we can’t wait for part two!
Sadly there’s no vinyl release for this one but you can grab the release from all good digital stores right now! Check out the clips below and pick your favourites.
Release – Sektor [Nurtured Beatz]
Nurtured Beatz start their year with a bang as Release steps up to drop two rough and tough techstep bangers! Sektor leads the charge, featuring a cheeky Mortal Kombat sample and a dangerous assortment of kicks, snares and bassline rumblings. This one is sure to destroy a few dancefloors!
Step Off sees the Manchester-based producer teaming up with Lao Wai to cook up another rumbling number; hefty sub, groaning mids and skittering breaks are the order of the day here. Check out the clips below and head to Bandcamp to grab this now, with general release following at all good digital stores from Feb 2nd.
