Ronin Ordinance release possibly their most varied compilation to date in the form of Genso Vol. 2 later this month, and we’re very please to have the exclusive on Dominic Ridgway’s ethereal new track Stand In, Stand Out. Premiere: Sl8r – Coordinates
Ronin Ordinance reach twenty releases next month with a new single from Sl8r, and we’re hyped to present the premiere of flipside Coordinates! Combining a soulful vocal with rugged beats and dark, brooding sub, this one blends the rough with the smooth for a fantastic dark groove…look out for the single at digital stores from June 7th!
Premiere: Conspired Within – Bad Intentions
Hard hitting amens and dark atmospherics a plenty on today’s exclusive as US producer Conspired Within lands on Ronin Ordinance! Bad Intentions lives up to it’s name, blending halftime kick patterns with the kind of battering amen chops which characterised early 2000s releases on the likes of Tech Itch Recordings. Throw in some growling reese danger for good measure and you’ve got a darkside weapon sure to smash up the dance. Sick tune! Look for this dropping exclusively at Beatport from Nov 30th, with other stores following two weeks later.
Premiere: Pulseye – Halos
Our latest exclusive from Ronin Ordinance bangs hard! Finish producer Pulseye brings a deadly dark neuro roller with the kind of hard drums and squelching bass that fans of Billain should be all over. Serious weapon! Watch out for this coming June 11th on the Aurora EP.
DNB Dojo Mix Series 68: Kit Curse
Munich producer Kit Curse steps up with the latest selection for our exclusive series of guest mixes! With releases for the likes of Ronin Ordinance, Onset Audio, Conspired Within and Modular Carnage, Felix has carved himself a reputation as a purveyor of all things deep and dark, with a focus on the more minimal and atmospheric end of the 170BPM sound.
His mix for DNB Dojo takes in tracks from the likes of Akinsa, Clarity, Homemade Weapons and Resound, alongside fresh Flexout dubs from Fuj and of course some fresh Kit Curse business. Yes yes! As always you can check out the mix via Soundcloud below or head to Youtube or iTunes to stream. You can also grab a download from Google Drive.
Premiere: Yushan – Turn The Cycle
We’ve got another wicked exclusive from the Ronin Ordinance camp today and this time they’ve teamed up with another Dojo favourite as US producer Mark Kloud turns in a cracking three track EP for the Leeds-based imprint. Turn The Cycle comes from Mark’s ‘Yushan’ alias and sees him blending the atmospherics of dark halftime with a driving, techno-infused beat which propels the tune along at a surprising energy given the relatively sparse composition. Experimental riddims; yes yes. Look for this dropping April 6th.
Premiere: Vortex – Stance
Another brand new exclusive for you today and we’re in on a jungle tip for our latest premiere from the Ronin Ordinance camp, taken from the label’s 10th release. Vortex is a new collaborative project from Toronto artists David Louis (Repertoire), Stranjah (Critical, 117, Deviant Audio), Groves and Captivate and the team’s love of the classic jungle sound is evident on this release; old school pad sounds, chunky breaks and a 90s aesthetic, while taking advantage of the modern production techniques that give D&B it’s punch in 2017. Fans of Andyskopes should definitely check this one out…watch out for the release dropping at Bandcamp Dec 22nd, just in time for a jungle Christmas.
Premiere: Fortune – Gram Negative
Leeds imprint Ronin Ordinance continues their steady flow of deeper D&B with their eighth release, and this time it’s Discipline Records co-founder Fortune on the buttons. Gram Negative channels the spirit of old school techstep and drumfunk into a dark landscape of break-switchups, hefty sub and ominous atmospherics; serious business. Check it out and watch for the release dropping 23rd October.
Premiere: Kit Curse & Al Mightee – Übertrieben
Germany’s Kit Curse lands on Ronin Ordinance this month and we’ve got the exclusive on the EP closing track Übertrieben. Hefty halftime percussion and rumbling sub make for an ominous, tribal workout. Sick one! Look for this dropping 21st August…
