Premiere: Low:r – Over 9000

Low:r returns to Such Music and the Dojo spotlight with a seriously funky jam! Over 9000 dials up the energy to appropriately exuberant levels and layers huge brassy synth hits with funk guitar and a bassline packed full of bounce. There’s even some rhodes action for a hint of the Blues Brothers! Something quite different from the usual D&B fare, but still more than big enough to smash up the dance. This one drops at all the usual outlets Feb 4th.

Stickbubbly – String Theory [Such Music]

Stickbubbly-String-Theory

LA liquid imprint Such Music bring us their tenth release from the rather oddly named Stickbubbly, who returns to the label with more of his crisp, melodic rollers. String Theory bubbles away with style and aplomb, floaty melodies giving the tune it’s character over a solid bedrock of beats and bass.

Over on the flip Take Flight brings the energy down a few notches to explore the half-time tempo, and I’ve gotta say I hope to hear more liquid operating in this beat pattern. Lush! Check out the clips below and grab this one from your favourite store right now!
